The White Oak Township Zoning Administrator is the first point of contact for all new construction, address assignment, structural renovation or alteration, zoning issues and questions, or a land division in White Oak Township. The Zoning Administrator issues all permits except electrical. Electrical permits are issued by the State of Michigan. The Zoning Administrator also assigns address numbers for all parcels in White Oak Township.

Forms:

Address Assignment Application Form: This application form is required to obtain a street address assignment for an unassigned property.

Building and/or Zoning Permit Application Forms: This form is required for all structural alteration or new construction. Send the form to the White Oak Township Zoning Administrator.

Pond Application Form – Use this for new pond applications.

Mechanical Permit Application Form: (fee list is attached) This form is required for all heating and cooling alteration or new construction. Permit fees, established by White Oak Township, are listed on page two of the form.

Plumbing Permit Application Form: (fee list is attached) This form is required for all plumbing alteration or new construction. Permit fees, established by White Oak Township, are listed on page two of the form.

Land Division Application: Approval of any division of land is required before any parcel can be sold.

Land Parcel Consolidation: Used to consolidate land parcels

Zoning Ordinance Variance Form: This form is used for Special Exceptions or Nonconforming Use, Special Use Permit request, Rezoning Amendment Request, Nonconforming Use Upgrade, or Modifications to Previously Approved Site Plans.

Solar Panel Installation Form: Use this form if you are installing solar panels

Zoning Variance or Special Use Permit Form: This form is used to request a Special Use per the Zoning Ordinance.

Sign Permit Application Form: This form is required for the placement of signs in the Township.
